After World War II, the car industry started everything over again. Their factories got destroyed and the General Headquarter of the Allied prohibited them from manufacturing regular passenger cars at first.
In 1949, the government decreased the supply amount of currency in Japan as one of their inflation measures and that damaged all industries and Toyota was not an exception of it.
At the same time, the General Headquarter of the Allied lifted the ban on manufacture of regular passenger cars. The car companies in Japan back then started cooperating with famous car companies overseas and started manufacturing their cars in Japan as knockdown production to learn their technologies.
