School Year Has Just Started in Japan

In Japan, schools start in the beginning of April.

In Japanese educational system, elementary school is 6 years, middle school is 3 years and high school is also 3 years.

What I think really unique about Japanese schools is students have to keep their schools clean by themselves.  There are no janitors at schools.  They have “Cleaning Time” every day usually after lunch or after school (high school students only clean once every few days.  They are on shift in some high schools.)  They learn a lot of things through cleaning time.  They are like “how do we get these stains?” or “how do we clean efficiently?” so I hope this tradition lasts for a longer time to the future generations.
